Healthy Breakfast for skin and hair!

Hey beauty freaks!
Hope your all well just wanted to do a post on healthy eating and super foods which are great for your skin and hair!

Starting with breakfast, now i'm sure we are all gulity of skipping breakfast which is ofcourse terrible seeing as breakfast is the most important meal of the day! Here are some quick ideas for on the go breakfasts which are filling and healthy, and ofcourse great for those who are watching their weight!

Avocados!! These green soft fruits are a great way to get your burst of morning vitamins! Avocados are so good for you they contains all kinds of beautiful vitamins that helps the skin rid of blemishes, and in general give a healthy appearance!
To incorporate avocados within your breakfast is super easy! All you need is:

2 slices of bread
1 Avocado
1/2 of a lemon
Sea Salt and fresh ground pepper to season

Firstly you have to cut, pit and scoop out the avocados so your left with a soft green and yellowish mush (dispose of the skin and the huge seed). Using a fork mash the Avocado up and add the juice of half a lemon, add some sea salt (not too much) that makes the Avocado topping.
Toast your 2 slices of bread and cut in to 4 pieces, then simply spoon on the Avocado mix and season with sea salt and freshly ground pepper et voilá! Perfect on the go food, can be eaten as snack too!

The second recipe is simple yet affective, getting your antioxidents, calcium (very very important for us girlies) and ofcourse vitamins!!
Yougurt!!!!!! Smooth silky yougurt!! Here is my quick breakfast using gorgeous yogurt!

Greek yogurt (however much you want :p)
Some strawberries, blueberries and 1 banana
Granola
1-2 tbl of Honey

Just add all the above ingredients and there you have a great filling breakfast! This recipe is extremely adaptable you can add more or less ingredients, if you dont like honey you can use vanilla yogurt to add a little bit of sweetness!!

Hope you enjoyed a couple of my favourite breakies! Happy Healthy Eating!!

Bon Appétit!

DIY Face Mask!

Hey beauties!!!
I've been really loving natural products and healthy eating recently, which has lead me to make alot of my own facemasks! However the one i swear by and the one which gives you perfect glowing skin is the turmeric mask. Turmeric a.k.a haldi is a spice commonly used in Indian cooking and beauty rituals, it is known for its anti bacterial properties and also it is known to improve the appearances of scars and in general the health of the skin. During Indian weddings there is a ceremony which takes place a few days before the actual wedding where the bride and groom are slathered in a turmeric paste along with other ingredients to give the skin a beautiful glow for the big day! Its been used for thousands of years for beauty purposes and rightly so this stuff is amazing!!!!!

Here is my recipe:

1 tbl full fat yogurt
2 tbl honey
1/2 lemon
1 tsp gram flour (chickpea flour)
1 tsp turmeric

Mix all the above ingredients together starting with the liquid ingredients followed by the dry. When mixed apply to throughly cleansed and dry skin, when applying the mask make sure you massage it in as the gram flour exfoliates the skin very very gently. Leave the mask on for 10 minutes then rinse of whilst massaging again.

The mask will leave a yellow stain on the skin but not to worry just get the other half of the lemon and dip it in sea salt (grinded), whilst the skin is wet rub the lemon with the salt all over the face (squeeze the lemon whilst doing so), dip the lemon into the salt again if you have to. Salt is great for your skin and lemon brightens the skin so a great exfoliation method, furthermore this step will leave you with super soft and refined skin. Wash off the salt and pat dry the skin, follow with your toner and moisturiser.

I reccommend doing this mask before bed to get the best results as the skin relaxes and repairs during the night so this mask is a great way to help the skin renew itself to give you lovely glowing skin!!!

Enjoy!

I have fine hair, it is extremely long and tends to get dry very easily, i do not have coloured treated hair infact i have never coloured my hair ever and also i don't use heat on my hair very often. I never blow dry my hair and it is not very damaged, it is quite healthy however it is like baby hair and therefore i need to take extra care in choosing products as it my be too harsh. Louise Galvin products contain no SLS, petrochemical, parabens, silicones, synthetic fragrances and ploymers so they are extremely healthy products. In my experience these products are fantastic!!!!! Louise has collections for all hair types so addressing the needs of specific hair types thus i naturally went for the fine hair collection. I cannot explain how amazing her products made my hair i use the sacred locks fine hair shampoo which cleans my hair of all impurites, i follow with the sacred locks treatment masque for fine hair which is truely GREAT! It makes my hair silky, no flyaways and sooo shiney! Super fruit for the Skin!!

Hey Beauties!

Now that it is summer I have been lucky enough to be stuff myself with gorgeous exotic fruits, which has helped my skin immensely seeing that I had to get my post stress skin into shape.
My dad in the last two weeks have been buying some lovely plump kesar mangos (Indian mangos) as they are in season... I look forward to this every year as eating mangos in the summer is something that i have done since a child and i absolutely love it!

Mangos are a great super fruit for your skin as it has many benefits, it contains lots of vitamins such as vitamin C and other B vitamins, along with minerals such as mangnesium and potassium and also many antioxidents. Amazing for your bodily health as mangos are known to reduce the risk of cancer, helps digestion, great for brain health and much more. However for the skin this lovely yummy fruit does wonders...It evens out the skin tone, gives a beautiful glow to the skin, clears the skin of blemishes, your skin appears more brighter and hydrated as mangos are very hydrating fruits perfect for the summer months. Mangos can be used as a mask, by mushing it to a plup and adding a bit of milk, or make a milkshake by mixing cut/skinned mangos with milk and then blending it together, you can add some sugar to sweeten the shake slightly! Perfect for the morning to kick start your day, give you a boost of energy... When buying mangos make sure they are ripe! The more orange the inside of the fruit the more sweeter (they taste sooo good <3).

Get them whilst you can, they do wonders for you skin, body and they taste LOVELY!!!

Summer skin and makeup tips!!

Hey Beauties,

I thought i'd do a post on summer skin and makeup!!
During the sunny months its important to make sure the skin is flawless as the sun highlights imperfections on the skin and furthermore can emphasis make up misshaps...not a great look, so here are some tips to ensure pristine skin and makeup.

Starting with skin; its is important that the skin is polished and throughly cleansed using an effective exfoliator and a deep cleanser is key to make sure the skin is clean, ridden of bacteria and make up within the pores. Using a toner that refreshes the skin is important to give the skin a all over glow which is what we all want in the summer! Follow with a light moisturiser or for those who wear foundation a tinted moisturiser as it is best to avoid foundation during the hot months as it may melt off (so unattractive). SUNSCREEN! Protect your skin, this is so important as the sun can damage the skin tissues which can cause so many problems such as: age spots, premature wrinkles, hyper pigmentation etc... so please please please be safe in the sun!!

In terms of your body; exfoliate using a body polish, focusing on the knees, elbows and legs. Get rid of all the dry skin to reveal fresh new glowing skin, moisturise throughly with a lotion or body butter that has bit of shimmer to enhance the glow on our skin and tan. Again USE SUNSCREEN! Protect your skin throughly from UVA and UVB rays or it can lead to deadly skin diseases like most commonly skin cancer...we all want to avoid problems with our skin in the future so protect it!

In terms of makeup less is more! All those who wear foundation swap it for tinted moisturiser, use a light concealer if you have any blemishes that needs to be concealed (just don't pack it on) and lastly in terms of eyes; avoid using eyeshadow if you intend to be in the sun for a long period of time, however if you want a pop of shimmer opt for a skin toned shimmery shadow to sweep over the lids. Avoid eyeliner, however those who can't live without eyeliner use a soft pencil and smudge it to avoid a harsh line or use a liner in a light colour like hazel browns and bronzes. Curl eyelashes and sweep with one coat of waterproof mascara (more than one coat of mascara will lead to spider lashes with clumps glore). For the cheeks just highlight the top of the cheekbones, or for those who need some blush use a coral shade blush or a bronzer to add a bit of color to your face. Keep the lips simple with a tinted lip balm with a spf!!! This will give the lips a bit of colour whilst protecting them from the sun!

Thats all for now guys, hopefully shall be posting make up looks for summer nights out soon!

How to naturally make your eyelashes grow -Simple Tips-

Hello Dears ,

guess we all want to have long, natural eyelashes, so here is a simple tip which should help your eyelashes grow and nourished at the same time.
You simply need to put a thin layer of oil on them, as it is very nourishing. Maybe it would be better to do this before going to bed. Up to you for how much time you will do it. Would love to hear if it worked for you!
